One of the oil pump sprocket... socket threads
stripped during a test fit. Didn't take much torque at all, so kind of
glad it went--threads make have been weak
I have a die cutter and bur bit coming for the
intake manifold--the manifold looks to be made for a smaller dual
downdraft weber? So I'm gonna "hog" it out, maybe do some intake port
matching on the head side of the manifold as well.
I also received a fuel level sender I ordered for the cell I got from
Clint, but I don't think it'll work with the foam in our cell, and I'd
rather have the foam then a sender, so I think I'll return it to Summit.
I imagine the length of our sessions is going to be more determined by
the endurance of our drivers and less the fuel in the tank...
Some time with a M7 die cutter...
Took the time to disassemble and clean the oil pump.
Looks to be in good shape.
Bolted in place with chain back on.
